Officer’s 1871 Pattern 6th Dragoon Guards Helmet without Horse hair Plume

A 6th Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers) Officer’s 1871 pattern helmet. A fine gilt metal skull decorated with laurel leaves. To the front is a white metal garter star bearing a gilt metal strap with “The Carabiniers” which encircles a silvered Royal Crest.
Fluted gilt spike supports a white regimental pattern horsehair plume with gilt metal rose boss. Horsehair Plume is not Included in Purchase.
Brass rose boss to either side supports the brass and black leather backed chin chain “slightly congealed”. The interior is with a black cotton lining.
